:: NILE - RECORDING SESSIONS
World Management would like to announce that Nile will be entering the studio for their forthcoming second Album on Nuclear Blast on June 8th at Mana Recording in Tampa Florida. The band will be working again with Neil Kernon as Producer and have added Erik Rutan to the team as Engineer at his studio. The band will record at several locations throughout June and July. A mid October 2009 release is being planed world wide on Nuclear Blast. Nile will then tour Europe in November of 2009 and January/February 2010 in North America, followed by tours in Australia, South America, Japan, Pacific Rim, Mexico, Central America and India. Stay tuned for tour news and further updates TBA.

:: GEORGE WITH PEARL DRUMS!!!
George is now with Pearl Drums! It’s been a while now since the first news came to light and since then George and Pearl Drums are working on future plans concerning clinics and more! George already appears on Pearl’s official website and on the new Pearl Catalog 2009:
“I am a Pearl player for a life time, what is happening now is just a dream coming true for me… In my music career so far Pearl Drums were always my choice, I have bought several Pearl kits from Masters to Exports and I loved them all…I am so happy I finally made it to be a part of the Pearl family and I am super excited for what is going to follow having such a huge brand like Pearl by my side!”

George’s main kit is scheduled for delivery within May: “It’s a Masterworks series in Piano Black with Gold Hardware and a custom painted Snare with some very cool Nile graphics on, people will love this kit! This Masterworks set was a personal configuration and I believe it will be perfect for what I do, loud and clear, something really big and powerful no matter how fast or complicated I play”.

Currently George is using a Masters Premium kit provided by Pearl Greece: “I was always a huge fan of the Masters Series but the Premium kits are just insane! Since I got it out of the box I noticed how much better Masters are today, the kit sounds incredible and every little detail in there shows how Drum Engineering must be.”

Finish Metal Expo was a very successful Clinic and a first step of what is going to follow from this collaboration!

:: "ITHYPHALLIC" RELEASE DATE
Nuclear Blast Records has set a July 20 German release date (July 23 in the rest of Europe) for the new NILE album, entitled "Ithyphallic".

The CD was recorded at Sound Lab Studios in Columbia, South Carolina with producer Neil Kernon (NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, DEICIDE) and engineer Bob Moore.

Song titles set to appear on the CD include "Language Of The Shadows", "Even The Gods Must Die", "The Infinity Of Stone", "Ithyphallic" and "Papyrii Containg The Spell To Preserve Its Possessor Against Attacks From He Who Is In The Water".

"Hello everybody, this is some sad news from me but I had to quit playing for Sickening Horror. We had some major problems the last year and I feel I want no longer play in this band, so I take off on this bad timing since I loose all the good stuff that supposed to follow after the release of our first full-length album. I feel really sad about it after all these years of dedication and the hard work I did for this band…although I know I don’t belong there anymore.

I wanna thank all our fans for their support and my bandmates for the good times we had together, as well as Neurotic Records and everybody who believed in this band and stayed by our side, I will always remember you…Wish everybody to move on with new and better achievements.”

Having crushed Australian audiences in November 2005, one of the most innovative and extreme death metal bands on the face of the earth in NILE, return to our shores to tear us apart with their blasting extremities and epic arrangements in the lead up to the release of their new upcoming full length album.
Having just signed to Nuclear Blast, Nile combine their interest in Egyptian history, culture and lore with the ferocity of modern death metal.
Joining NILE, will be Polish technical death metal sensations DECAPITATED, on what will be their first appearances in Australia. DECAPITATED blasted onto the death metal scene in 1997 with 'Winds Of Creation' at the average age of 17 & were heralded as the future of death metal. On the back of their latest release 'Organic Hallucantions', DECAPITATED are set to thrill us with their brand of Polish technical death metal.

:: SICKENING HORROR SIGNS TO NEUROTIC RECORDS!

When Landscapes Bled Backwards album is going to be released in March 2007 from Neurotic Records. Statements from band and label are here:
Greek based SICKENING HORROR, featuring extraordinary NILE skins man George Kollias, signs multiple album agreement with NEUROTIC RECORDS. The new album, entitled When Landscapes Bled Backwards has already been recorded and mixing and mastering duties have been handled by none less than Neil Kernon (Nevermore, Cannibal Corpse, a.o.).

Ruud Lemmen of Neurotic Records commented:
“This fairly new death metal band was brought to our attention when having a brief meeting with George Kollias on a European NILE tour in early 2006. Ever since we’ve heard the recorded material it seemed destined that SICKENING HORROR and NEUROTIC RECORDS would join forces. We are therefore very delighted to be able to work with this band.”

The band added:
“We proudly announce that SICKENING HORROR became a part of the NEUROTIC RECORDS family. Our debut album will soon be out on the shelves under the title “When Landscapes Bled Backwards”. We are extremely happy about this cooperation since Neurotic Records is a label with top-notch bands and a very promising prospect for SICKENING HORROR’s future. This year Athens Modern Music School will include an Extreme Drumming Class with George as an official MMS teacher! This is a great opportunity for all the young drummers to get lessons in a style of drumming that is really missing from today’s schools.
According to George: “Me and George Metallinos (MMS Athens owner) were talking about it a long time ago but it has been cancelled because of my heavy touring schedule. Having 2 new albums coming soon from Nile and Sickening Horror as well as lots of tours we know it’s not going to be easy but we will give our best shot! I have already written down a big part of my own teaching method and I hope to see many young drummers getting into it, learning new things and covering all their questions about extreme drumming. :: Back From The European Tour & Thessaloniki Drum Clinic:
Nile has just finished the 3rd European tour with success and they are back home. George wants to thank all the crazy NILE fans for being there for one more time as always and all the drummers/friends who came to his clinics in Germany and The Netherlands:

There are some drum clinics coming up for the next month in Europe, check out TOUR/CLINIC section for full details. So far George will be doing Heerenveen (05/13-Van der Glas b.v. music store, with Koos van der Velde), Patra (05/27 Kolaz club), Athens (05/29-Modern Music School) and Thessaloniki (06/02-TBA). There are discussions about Sweden, Germany and France; more details will be announced here soon.
In the meantime Sickening Horror has finished with the mastering process and the album comes out soon. There are discussions with various labels for the moment and there is an mp3 preview to take a taste of the When Landscapes Bled Backwards upcoming album. A new European tour is coming up as well, dates will be annouced very soon here and hopefully there will be some drum clinics during the this tour in many countries. More news soon...

:: Sickening Horror recording process has almost finish, the album sounds very powerful and promising so far, there are 11 songs of pure brutality, blazing fast tempos and extremely technical elements all over the place! The final mixing will be done by Neil Kernon in Chicago, USA. More news soon!

:: George's drum clinic in Drumstore/ Modern Music School had great success, over a hundred people had the chance to learn techniques and get tips about extreme drumming. George presented some Nile and Sickening Horror songs and explained many things about playing fast and solid. He gave many tips and secrets and he talked with all the drummers there for about 3 hours.
