Props to you stoners, I don't know how you do it.

I totally get the thinking out of the box phenomenon that comes with playing high, but sometimes after taking a few hits it's hard to repeat what I just played, and other times the weed would make me play tired.

All the other things involved other than playing, such as packing up drums, paying attention to what's going on, and generally being responsible start becoming really difficult for me stoned. I've gotten stoned and lost a china cymbal at a gig, wasn't worth it.



Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with weed, especially for medicinal/spiritual/therapeutic reasons. And if you can play well while you're on it then use it to your advantage, write some crazy shit.

According to Kelly Schaefer of Atheist, they wrote most of the material on Unquestionable Presence jamming in their practice space stoned and trying to play the craziest shit they could think of! I really want to try that with my band and see what happens hahaha!

I like smoking pot and as much as I think its amazing, I dont think its all of a sudden going to make writing a song easier. It does change your ideas and thought patterns.. Not sure if its entirely for the better though, sometimes things seem better when stoned.

On a different note. Yesterday felt like the hugest illegal pot smoking party. The only way to get rid of us thousands would have been to get the riot squad. We were openly selling weed on the corner for anybody who liked to buy some. Many tourists from America, even Europe and I think Korea, Japan. Vancouver has many tourists daily but anybody interested in smoking pot knew that yesterday was the day to partoke. Its really something to do a wrong thing like selling or smoking weed, that only on one day you can get away with. In the states, I bet cops would gladly arrest someone selling a bag of weed, regardless if they are surrounded by 7000 people in two blocks.

Now I don't know about selling it right in front of them, but Ive smoked right in front of them at gatherings before and they just stood there and didn't bother anybody. But yeah, I wished I could ov been there to experience what your talking about. I had to spend my 4/20 on the down low!!!

2. You'll actually remember IF what you came up with was as good as you thought is was when you were high.

They recorded Assassins: Black Meddle pt 1 high (not necessarily on pot) and are recording Addicts: Black Meddle pt 2 sober. This could be a rumor I'm passing on but if not it's a pretty cool idea.
