No problem. I just was confused about that part, sorry for that. Now so what your saying is George on Kafir is going from triplets to 16ths.. at 280?

No no, the only triplets I remember from that song are the very first fills at the beginning. The rest is straight notes, you can count "1234" with the metronome.

It feels really natural to me, I am not into notes that much, sorry, I try to explain as good as I can.

Whenever you can count "1234" following the notes and it feels good, its straight notes.
Whenever a "123,123" or "123456" makes more sense to your feeling, its triplets.

This is how I feel it.

EDIT:

Ok, because it's you...

Kafir:

0:00-0:49 - 280BPM
0:50-1:20 - around 200-205 BPM (more like 200 than 205)
1:20-2:28 - 240 BPM
2:28-2:45 - 280 BPM
2:45-4:23 - 200 BPM and some funny figures there, really cool, kind of random but they end ON THE BEAT again, really cool. Also some triplets there with the bassdrum.
4:25-5:07 - 240 BPM
5:07-5:42 - 280 BPM
5:43- end - 200 BPM

Well, that's all I can say, should be right.

Gotta go now, learning for school tomorrow.

Yes it is. Before it it was 'Papyrus' with 271 bpm and before 'Papyrus' it was 'Sebek' with 265 bpm. I think the fastest Nile song before George was 'Churning the Maelstrom', where Tony Laureano also hits 260 bpm, as far as I could tell.

I think Hittite Dung Incantation is up there too.

'Hittite Dung Incantation' has the fastest parts @ 265 bpm and the double bass at around 3:00 at 240 bpm.

That was something I wanted to ask for a while, how do you play a long changing metronome, I mean just like Deathmetalaxis said, every "change" of tempo in a song usually is in relation to the subdivision, but how do you anticipate the new tempo if the click changes/jumps from, let's say, 200 to 211?

I just guessed it by memory of the song. Well this shows how much I know

I guess you have to programm your clicktrack OR make an MP3 file the way the song goes, then you need to practice the speed-switches until you can feel it.

Then I really think it's not that big of a problem... This is how I imagine it.
